Areas of Javea
There are many different areas of Javea, all with their own feel and different communities. If you are looking to live without a car then you need to be in either the Old Town, Port or Arenal areas, where most properties are either apartments or townhouses. You will be able to walk to shops, doctors, pharmacies, schools, bars and restaurants.
If you want to live in a villa then these are located outside the main town areas, some are perhaps a 20 minutes walk others a 15 minute drive. Here are list of Javea most popular areas and a brief description of what you will find there. Adsubia – Close to the Arenal with a good mix of different types of villas in quiet roads.
Alborada – A wooded area overlooking the golf course, with several older properties and fincas.
Ambolo – A beach area in Balcon Al Mar with villas perched on cliffs with fantastic sea views.
Arenal – The main beach area of Javea with its bars and restaurants and a great choice of apartment blocks.
Avenida Augusta – Road between the Arenal and Port that is home to many modern apartment blocks.
Balcon al Mar – To the south of the Arenal, around 10 minutes drive, an area known for fair priced villas with sea views, there are local supermarkets and restaurants close by.
Cala Blanca – Around a 15 minute south of the Arenal, a small cove within an area where there are several apartment blocks.
Cansalades – On the outskirts of Javea towards Benitachell, an established urbanisation.
Cap Martí – A large area close to the Arenal (30 minutes walk), many different types of villas ranging in price and size.
Castellans – Walking distance to the old town with narrow roads with a wide selection of traditional and modern properties.
Costa Nova – To the south of the Arenal with a wide selection of villas and good prices.
Covatelles – To the east of the Arenal towards Benitachell, a close community with lots of people living all year round.
El Montgo – The area under the famous Montgo mountain, large south facing villas and traditional fincas.
Entre Pinos – Close to the Arenal with it´s neat roads, a little further up the hill from Tosalet.
La Cala – A relatively new urbanisation with modern villas and plots for more to be built.
La Corona – The Crown of Javea, south facing, luxury properties with views across the bay of Javea.
La Granadella – Awarding winning cove with large luxury villas dotted around the hill sided with spectacular sea views.
La Guardia – A gated urbanisation with quality villas, close to Granadella and Barraca beaches.
La LLuca – A established urbanisation near Javea Golf Course. Large luxury villas with hedges protecting their privacy.
La Mandarina – A small urbanistion near Javea Golf Course and close to Benitachell.
La Plana – Part of the Montgo mountain and towards the Cuesta de San Antonio, a small selection of more traditional properties dotted around in the pine trees.
Las Laderas – A modern luxury urbanisation with quality villas and well kept wide roads. Easy access to both Javea and Benitachell.
Los Cerezos – Vary close to Javea Golf Course and is enter through a stone arch.
Media Luna – A quiet area close to Barracas beach with value for money properties.
Monte Javea – A new urbanisation with large luxury properties close to Granadella beach.
Montgo Valls – The valley of the Montgo and close to the old town with large villas and traditional fincas.
Pinosol – Close to the Arenal mainly compact villas in well kept streets a popular location for its proximity to amenities.
Piver – to the south of the town overlooking the orange grooves and on to the sea. New modern luxury properties.
Portichol – An established area that overlooks the sea, recently some spectacular frontline luxury villas have been built here.
Puchol – Very close to the old town with traditional and luxury villas with sea views.
Pueblo de Javea – The historic centre of Javea with its narrow streets, old town houses and many tapas bars, shops and restaurants.
Puerta Fenicia – A modern development of luxury villas with sea views.
Puerto de Javea – The port area of Javea with it´s marina and many shops, bars and restaurants. There are older and more apartment blocks with and without pools.
Rafalet – Close to Javea golf Course with a good selection of properties for all budgets with some great mountain views.
Taraula – On the outskirts of Javea Taraula is a more rustic area with several finca type properties and a stables.
Tesoro Park – A relatively new urbanisation with a mix of traditional yet new builds as well as state of the art modern builds.
Toscal – Close to the Arenal and a short walk to a bus stop that will take you to the Arenal, Port or Old Town. Wide choice of different types of properties for all budgets.
Toscamar – Close to the Arenal toscamar is an urbanisation made up of detached holiday homes around a communal pool.
Valle del Sol – Above Pinosol and close to the Javea Bowls Club, Valle de Sol is mainly new properties built in the last 20 years.
Villes del vent – A new urbanisation, with two different types of properties. Original villas built around 2000 and some new extremely modern luxury villas.
