If anything defines the look-out of the Falzia it is its spectacular situation at 150m. above the bay of Portitxol. The vegetation of shrubs and flowers adorning the cliffs descends almost to the edge of the crystal clear sea. The white pine forest ( Pinus Halepensis) is truly spectacular, epecially in the rocky angle created by the impressive Cap Negre in the area known as "La Canal". The clear deep sea at the base of these cliffs is inhabited by a multitude of diverse sea life.

One of the most important features of this area of sea is the great underwater fields of sea weed that grow in the sandy depths. This sea weed is a natural inhabitant of the Mediterranean and is of great ecological value ; it retains the sediments of the beaches, oxygenates its surrounfings and also offers a refuge and cover to numerous fish and other water life.
