Throughout October and November, Javea is alive with a range of events and activities for residents and visitors. From local markets to cultural festivals, there are plenty of opportunities to experience the town's unique offerings. Whether you’re interested in food, music or events, Javea has something for everyone as we head into the autumn season.
Leading up towards the end of October, we have Javea's Halloween and All Saints' Fair which brings a mix of spooky fun and tradition. With a variety of stalls, parades and fancy dress for all ages, it’s a great way to celebrate Halloween while also marking the more solemn All Saints' Day. Families can enjoy the fair’s lively atmosphere, making it an annual highlight for both locals and visitors looking for a fun autumn event.
On the 31st October, Javea's Halloween celebrations kick off with a costume parade at 19:00, starting from the Plaza de la Iglesia and ending at the Plaza del Convent in the Old Town, where prizes will be awarded for the most original costumes. Later, the festivities continue with a Costume Disco at the Freginal Sports Center.
There are also various Halloween parties at bars and restaurants such as Canela Café Bar, Restaurant LÉscut both on the on the 26th of October & The Aud Dubliner & Kawana on the 31st of October.
From the 1st to 3rd November, the Halloween Fair takes place in the Placa del Convent, featuring over 20 food and craft stalls, along with games and activities for children, including ponies, inflatables, a merry-go-round, and a play area.
Additionally, Javea's Oktoberfest returns in October 2024, offering German beer, food, and live music. Organised by the German Club of Javea, it's a great chance to enjoy a bit of Bavarian culture right here on the Costa Blanca. Whether you're after a cold beer or a classic sausage, this event has lots to enjoy. Located at La Isla Bonita, Arenal. Dates to be confirmed.
Moreover, the Oktoberfest at Plaza del Convent will be held in early November 2024, continuing the celebrations with German beer, food, and live music. It’s another opportunity to experience Bavarian culture in Javea, drawing in locals and visitors alike. Whether you're stopping by for a drink or to enjoy the lively atmosphere, this event is a must-visit in the autumn calendar. Dates 1,2 & 3rd of November.
