From 1st May, the chiringuitos on the First Montañar beach officially open their doors for the summer. Wooden decking, wicker chairs, swaying palms, and uninterrupted views of the sea set the scene for lazy afternoons and social evenings. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and distinctly Mediterranean.

Where to Go

La Siesta is one of the best known chiringuitos on the First Montañar. With its chilled out vibe and whitewashed décor, it’s a favourite for long lunches and evening drinks. Their fresh seafood and creative cocktails are well worth trying.

Further along, Mintt Jávea offers a livelier atmosphere and brilliant views across the bay. The menu features everything from light bites to indulgent desserts, and it’s a popular choice for a sunset drink or weekend gathering.

Chiringuito Veleta, closer to the Arenal end, provides a more traditional chiringuito feel with a relaxed, no frills approach. It’s ideal if you're after a quick drink, something simple to eat, and an unbeatable view.
