Local News | Smarter Living Starts Here: A Look Inside Sie3 in Jávea
Spotlight on Local Business: Sie3 — Smart Security, Comfort & Innovation in Xàbia
This week, we had the pleasure of visiting Sie3, a local company right here in Xàbia (Jávea), and getting a behind the scenes look at how they combine technology, design and security. We would like to share with you what we learnt and why this might be a company you want to keep on your radar if you’re considering enhancing your home or business systems.
Who is Sie3?
Sie3 describes themselves as a provider of “comprehensive solutions in alarm systems, CCTV cameras and home automation”; in other words, they don’t just install individual devices, they integrate them. Their mission is not just to protect, but to enhance comfort, wellbeing and peace of mind for their clients.
They operate from their office / showroom in Jávea and are fully certified under Spanish security and electrical regulation schemes:
- Private Security License
- Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulation (REBT) certification
These credentials mean they not only know their trade, but comply with the required legal / safety standards, an important point when dealing with sensitive systems in your home.
What We Saw: Smart, Seamless & Stylish
Walking through Sie3’s showroom and hearing from the owner, some of the standout features and philosophies became very clear.
Intelligent Automation & Mood Settings
- Their system is built around simplicity and control. For example, a single button press might turn on lights, another press might start background music, and another press turns everything off.
- They offer multiple modes you can choose:
• Relaxed / ambient mode: soft, dimmed lighting
• Work mode: brighter lighting to promote focus
These modes are tied into sensor logic, so they adapt to the presence of people, time of day and usage.
Synchronisation with Natural Light
One of the most futuristic features we saw was how their systems integrate with sunlight / solar position:
- The shutters are automated: they rise or fall depending on which way the sun is shining.
- The interior lighting is synchronised with natural daylight: it strives to mimic the quality of sunlight, supporting our circadian cycle (which in turn helps with sleep, mood, and overall health).
Air Quality, Security & Impressive Hardware
- They install CO₂ sensors to monitor indoor air quality, a feature often overlooked in smart homes.
- Access control & intercom: the intercom shows you colour video feed. You can see security camera views through the same interfaces (wall screens, tablets, phones, etc.).
- Storming hardware: Sie3 uses Magnum 44 bulletproof glass in windows, and extremely robust doors with multiple security features.
- Speakers: Their audio systems come with a lifetime warranty , “forever” was the word used.
- Data security: All client documents, system plans, and confidential material are stored securely, inside a high security safe, alongside their internal servers.
Multiple Control Methods & Connectivity
You’re not limited to just one way to operate the system. You can use:
- Wall mounted touchscreen panels (typically at entryways)
- Tablets / iPads
- Your smartphone
- Even embedded controls in objects like clocks or lamps, or on the kitchen counter
Systems are fibre compatible, but for optimal performance (especially for sensors), Sie3 recommends wired (cabled) connections.
Innovation & Forward Thinking
Sie3 is already experimenting with biometric access methods, such as:
- Facial recognition for door handles (so only authorised faces can open them)
- Fingerprint recognition as an alternative access method
They described their development approach as coming from a Venn diagram method, the overlap of creativity, comfort, and security reminded them of an almond, which inspired their internal project name “La Mandorla”.
Why It Matters to You
So why should you care? Here are a few reasons:
- Holistic Integration: Sie3 doesn’t just drop in devices; they build systems that talk to each other. Lighting, blinds, security and air quality can be coordinated for seamless experience.
- Aesthetic & Practical: The technology is not an eyesore. They take great care that the installations look sleek, subtle and pleasing in real homes or offices.
- Future Ready: As they adopt facial recognition, better sensors and intuitive controls, they’re aiming not just to meet today’s needs, but to anticipate tomorrow’s.
- Local & Accessible: They are just here, in Jávea, so you don’t have to deal with remote companies who don’t show up or understand the local environment.
- Trust & Credibility: Certified licences, warranties, data safeguarding all of which provide reassurance when installing systems that affect your personal life and privacy.
