Jávea is well known for its beaches, restaurants and relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle, but it is also a fantastic place for walking. With coastal paths, nature reserves and mountain viewpoints, there are routes for all levels, from gentle seaside strolls to longer scenic walks.

Whether you enjoy an early morning walk with sea views or a longer route through nature, here are five of the best walks in Jávea.

Cap de Sant Antoni

One of the most impressive walks near Jávea is around Cap de Sant Antoni, the dramatic headland that separates Jávea from Denia. The natural park offers several walking routes with panoramic views across the Mediterranean and along the coastline.

The paths are wide and relatively easy to follow, making this a great walk for most fitness levels. As you reach the higher points near the lighthouse, the views across the sea are spectacular, particularly on clear days.

Wildlife is also abundant here, with birds of prey often seen soaring above the cliffs. Spring is an especially beautiful time to visit as the surrounding landscape fills with wildflowers.

Cala Blanca Coastal Walk

The walk to Cala Blanca is one of the easiest and most rewarding coastal walks in Jávea. Starting from the end of Avenida Ultramar near the Arenal area, the path follows the coastline towards two small coves known for their clear turquoise water.

This route is perfect for a relaxed stroll, with plenty of places to stop and enjoy the view. The rocky shoreline and small viewpoints along the way provide great photo opportunities.

Because it is relatively flat and not too long, it is ideal for families or anyone wanting to enjoy the sea air without tackling a more demanding route.

Granadella Forest Walk

Granadella Natural Park offers a different landscape, with peaceful pine forests and impressive coastal views. Several walking routes begin in the area and range from shorter loops to longer hikes through the surrounding hills.

One popular option takes walkers above Granadella beach, where the views over the bay are particularly striking. The scent of pine trees and the sound of the sea below make this a very relaxing place to walk.

It is a great choice for anyone looking to escape the busier parts of town and enjoy a more natural setting.

Montgó Natural Park Trails

Montgó Natural Park is one of the most recognisable landmarks in the area and offers some of the best walking routes near Jávea. The mountain rises dramatically above the town and provides spectacular views over the coastline and surrounding countryside.

There are a variety of trails here. Some are gentle routes through the lower slopes of the park, while others lead higher up the mountain for more experienced walkers. The view from the peak is spectacular, you can see all of Jávea and Denia, although it is 750m high.

Even the easier routes reward walkers with fantastic scenery and a sense of tranquillity away from the coast.

Port to Arenal Seafront Walk

For a relaxed and scenic walk, the route from the Port area of Jávea to the Arenal beach is a favourite with locals. The path follows the coastline, passing small coves, viewpoints and seaside cafés.

It is an easy walk that can be enjoyed at any time of year, with beautiful views across the bay and towards Cap de Sant Antoni. Along the way you will also find plenty of places to stop for coffee or a drink.

This walk is particularly popular in the early morning or late afternoon when the light over the sea is at its best.

20KM Charity Walk

At Javea Home Finders we are organising a 20KM charity walk on Sunday 26th April 2026 to raise funds for our three chosen charities.

We have invited our friends, families, clients and colleagues to join us for a relaxed and enjoyable walk around Jávea.

The walk will start from the Javea Home Finders office at 8.30am, taking in some of the sights of Jávea on a flat and easy route before finishing at Bambula for a well deserved drink.

Javea Home Finders will provide T-shirts and refreshments for everyone taking part.
